Chenhong Cao is currently Reasearch Associate in the School of Computer Science and Technology, University of Science and Technology of China. She received the PhD degree from the College of Computer Science and Technology in Zhejiang University in 2018, under the supervision of Prof. Wei Dong and Academician Chen Chun. She received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in computer science from Northeastern University, China, in 2011 and 2013, respectively. From 2018 to 2019, she worked in Alibaba-Zhejiang University Joint Research Institute of Frontier Technologies as a researcher.

Her research interests mainly focus on the edge computing, IoT systems and networks, wireless and mobile computing. She received Shanghai Science and Technology Young Talents Sailing Program in 2020（上海市扬帆计划获得者，2020年）, and Young Talents Sailing Program of Shanghai University in 2022（上海大学“青年英才启航计划”获得者，2022年） . She has managed 2 National Natural Science Foundation Project（国家自然科学基金面上基金，2024年 / 国家自然科学基金青年基金，2021年）, and participated 2 National High-Tech Programs as a key researcher.
